Miguel Rivera is chair of printmaking at the Kansas City Art Institute.  He is a wonderful teacher – gentle and thoughtful.  He has a great face and as soon as we met I asked if he’d model for a portrait.  You can learn all about Miguel and see some of his work on his web site.

Amazing work. Is that really all hand drawn? You have quite a bit of patience and talent.
Do you have a link to Miguels web site? I keep getting errors to his links.
    Thank you.

None of this is ‘hand drawn’ the way you mean — it’s all ‘programmatic’ — look deeply into this site and you’ll discover lots of descriptions and video of the process as it unfolds…

Miguel Rivera can be reached through the Kansas City Art Institute, I believe, where he’s currently chair of printmaking.
