  Press almost complete!
Several people have asked how the press is going... It's really complete, now -- just waiting for some materials for the paper-handling gizmo to arrive in order to start working! -- Here's a photo:

Mike..The press is a thing of beauty. I have been following its development on the Baren site and am blown away by your insight and ingeninouity. And the occasional table strikes me as well! I wonder what the top is? I was a custom furniture builder for 18 years before I returned to my roots as a painter and more recently as a printmaker...but it is the making of "things," (paintings, prints, furniture, etc. and etc)that has such a sranglehold on me. And looking at your fantastic prints, amazing press and furniture makes me sigh with delight! Jim

Thanks, Jim! ME TOO! You can see the top at Leggie's Table if you're curious -- haven't posted a photo of the completed table -- it's a dining table, by the way, but designed for bar-stool height seating -- I'll make a set of compatible four stools or chairs about 24/25 inches high some time in the future.

Beautiful and functional. Love your table! Making things, hmmm. Guess mine as a kid was always with a sewing machine. Maybe because I was a girl and maybe because no one in my family could use a tool properly. What a joy and a treat to see such wonderful creations, thank you.
